About the position

As a Production Manager at The Fresh Market, you will lead the production department, ensuring operational excellence and delivering high-quality meal solutions for guests. This fast-paced role requires effective management of team members and adherence to safety and quality standards, all while fostering a positive work environment and providing exceptional guest service.

Responsibilities

• Direct, manage and assist all functions of the Production department.
• Manage the production for key items to support Deli-CMS, Meat-Seafood, Bakery, and Produce departments.
• Properly receive and stock goods following rotation standards.
• Manage product to reduce shrink and damage.
• Direct teams to handle, cut, and prepare a variety of department products in the early morning.
• Train and engage team members through The Fresh Market Academy.
• Lead, engage, motivate, and manage team members to provide excellent guest service.
• Create and manage team schedules to align production with guest shopping hours.
• Ensure department adherence to all safety requirements and protocols.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of management experience in retail, restaurant, or hospitality, or 5 years of related management experience.
• Ability to read, understand and follow planograms, layouts, and schematics.
• Experience providing direction and supervision to teams.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Nice-to-haves

• Deli, Restaurant Management, Culinary or Grocery experience.
• Production Planning Software experience.
