About the position

The Early Morning/Overnight Stock Team Member at Michaels is responsible for delivering friendly customer service, assisting customers in locating products, and ensuring a well-stocked and organized store. This part-time, seasonal role involves unloading trucks, stocking merchandise, and maintaining store recovery standards to uphold the brand's promises. Team members will also engage with customers regarding store programs and assist with various operational tasks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly customer service and assist customers in shopping the store.
• Ensure a fast and friendly checkout experience for customers.
• Complete truck unloading and merchandise duties throughout the store.
• Maintain store recovery standards to deliver brand promises.
• Help customers locate products and provide solutions.
• Engage customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance, including returns and general store recovery.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies.
• Interact with others in a respectful manner and promote the organization's vision and values.
• Cross train in Custom Framing selling and production.

Requirements

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
• Ability to move throughout the store and perform regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
