About the position

The position involves working as a Teacher or Assistant at KinderCare Learning Centers, focusing on children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. The role is designed for individuals who are warm, caring, and creative problem solvers, dedicated to creating a nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. The job offers both part-time and full-time opportunities with immediate openings.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Work collaboratively with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners.
• Implement KCE's curriculum in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child.
• Enjoy daily meals and snacks with the children.

Requirements

• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential (or willing to obtain).
• 1 year of professional experience working with children.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds to your waist regularly.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors, often on the floor.
• Ability to sit on a circle time rug for extended periods and interact fully with the children.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with children.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents.
