About the position

BAE Systems is seeking an Earned Value Control Account Manager to oversee cost and schedule performance analysis within the Supply Chain function. This role involves developing and maintaining variance analysis, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring effective communication of project abnormalities. The manager will also provide training and mentoring in Earned Value Management (EVM) and implement process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain analysis on cost and schedule performance and associated variance analysis for the Supply Chain function.
  • Implement and document original baselines from proposals to award, rebase lines, and estimate to complete (ETCs).
  • Read proposals, purchase orders, and other documents to develop cost analysis comparisons.
  • Interface and collaborate with team members and management to manage changes to projects and operations.
  • Communicate abnormalities or variances to the project team and identify areas of risk and opportunity.
  • Attend and conduct internal Earned Value (EV) surveillances and support DCMA surveillance reviews.
  • Review EV artifacts such as Control Account Plans (CAP), Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and Basis of Estimates (BOE).
  • Work with subcontract administrators to understand the linkage between purchase order creation and WBS charging requirements.
  • Provide training and mentoring in EV metrics and financial analysis.
  • Identify areas of improvement and implement process changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 6 years of relevant experience or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic, complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables; powerquery preferred.
  • Experienced in project management and organization skills.
  • Advanced understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) and industry standards.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently with good time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Excellent crisis management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge of Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA).
  • Understanding of prime contract flow down requirements.
  • Passion for continuous improvement and lean initiatives.
  • Experience with Deltek's Open Plan and Cobra, Primavera, and/or PMCompass preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Operations and Build sequence within a Manufacturing Environment.
