About the position

As a Sales Manager for East Industrial Refrigeration Controls at Johnson Controls, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales and expanding market presence in the Eastern US region. This remote position requires a strong focus on developing new control sales opportunities within the Industrial Refrigeration market, specifically targeting contractors and end users in sectors such as food and beverage manufacturing, food storage, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and data center storage. You will be responsible for upgrading and expanding the business scope from existing operation and maintenance services customers, ensuring that you build and manage relationships with both existing and potential customers effectively. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the services operation team, digitalization team, and regional services team to support the current installation base. Your primary objective will be to achieve and exceed sales targets and objectives assigned to you. This will involve a proactive approach to scheduling appointments, conducting meetings, and delivering presentations to create new opportunities and extend existing ones through the introduction of Johnson Controls' Industrial Refrigeration products and services. You will also work in tandem with the Industrial Refrigeration Equipment Sales Team to enhance sales offerings and create cross-sales activities, ensuring that both groups effectively meet the expectations of contractors, end users, consultants, facilities, key account customers, and other stakeholders. Your ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, will be crucial as you present to senior executives and engage with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new control sales opportunities through the Industrial Refrigeration market from contractors and end users in food/beverage manufacturing, food storage, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and data center storage.
  • Upgrade and expand the business scope from existing operation and maintenance services customers.
  • Build and manage relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Coordinate with services operation team, digitalization, and region services team to support the current installation base.
  • Achieve and grow the sales targets and objectives as assigned.
  • Proactively make appointments, conduct meetings, and deliver presentations to create new opportunities with clients through controls products and the introduction of Johnson Controls Industrial Refrigeration products and services.
  • Work with the Industrial Refrigeration Equipment Sales Team to enhance sales offerings on product portfolios while creating cross-sales activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years' sales experience in Industrial Refrigeration Control Sales/Service/Engineering.
  • Experience in customer account management is an advantage.
  • Good oral, written, and presentation skills with the ability to present to senior executives.
  • Customer focus and follow-up activities oriented.
  • Good command of spoken and written English.

Nice-to-haves

  • Good connections with industrial refrigeration contractors in the US.
  • Positive, proactive, and can-do attitude is preferred.
  • Independent and able to work under pressure and meet sales targets.
  • Experience in managing opportunities, accounts, and territory needs in a CRM System.
  • Hands-on computer knowledge of MS Office.
