The Echo Tech PRN position at Medical City Fort Worth involves performing echocardiograms and assisting with specialized procedures to support patient care in a leading healthcare facility. This role is essential for delivering high-quality diagnostic services to a primarily adult patient population, ensuring adherence to established standards and protocols.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular Echocardiograms and assist with Transesophageal Echocardiograms.
- Set up and assist with Dobutamine Stress Echocardiograms.
- Recognize and address the population-specific needs of patients with CAD, CHF, PVD, MI, UA, and Angina.
- Apply appropriate knowledge, skills, and behaviors in patient care activities.
Requirements
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Registered/registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiovascular Technologist (CCI).
- Graduated from an accredited Echocardiography Technology Program or equivalent experience.
- For new graduates: minimum of six months specialized training in echocardiology preferred.
