Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures as assigned.
• Carry out assigned duties and responsibilities according to policies and procedures as directed by the Director for Cardiopulmonary Services.

Requirements

• Associates degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Bachelor of Science required.
• Graduate of a Program in Discipline required.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) - to be obtained within 30 days.
• Licenses: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiovascular Technologist by the National Board of Cardiovascular Technology preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of neurology and cardiovascular physiology and other sciences related to neurological and cardiopulmonary diagnostics.
