About the position
As an Echocardiogram Sonographer at Deaconess Hospital, you will be responsible for performing echocardiograms and related procedures on both adult and pediatric patients. This role is critical in supporting the hospital's mission of healing and involves advanced imaging techniques to assess cardiac conditions.
Responsibilities
- Perform echocardiograms, including two-dimensional and M-mode with color flow Doppler and Doppler echocardiography.
- Conduct stress echocardiograms and pharmacological stress testing.
- Assist with transesophageal echocardiograms on adult patients.
- Ensure accurate reporting and documentation of echocardiogram results.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.
Requirements
- Must be a graduate from a recognized Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or meet clinical experience and didactic coursework requirements.
- Must have RDCS or RCS certification or obtain it within 12 months from the date of hire.
- Registered with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in sonography.
