About the position
The Echocardiographer position is a temporary, full-time role focused on performing complex cardiac diagnostic procedures, including echocardiograms and stress tests. The role requires a skilled technician to demonstrate competency in patient care across various age groups and to work effectively within a cardiology team. Responsibilities
- Perform complex cardiac diagnostic procedures including echocardiograms and stress tests.
- Demonstrate competency in patient care for neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with hospital personnel.
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy regarding all details of procedures.
- Respond effectively in emergency situations.
Requirements
- One year experience as an Echo/Stress Technician.
- Completion of an Echo Technician program.
- Valid Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer certification (RG DCS) preferred.
- Substantial knowledge of EKG procedures and equipment.
- Basic cardiac and human body anatomy knowledge.
- Basic interpretation of cardiac arrhythmias knowledge.
- BLS Certification required.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in vascular procedures (1 year preferred).
- Familiarity with Philips IE33 and Philips Epiq 7 Ultrasound machines.
- Experience using Lumedx for PACs system.
