The Echocardiography Technician is responsible for performing echocardiograms, electrocardiograms, and stress tests, contributing to the overall cardiac care provided by the facility. This role requires a strong understanding of cardiac ultrasound and EKG testing, along with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
Responsibilities
- Perform echocardiograms, electrocardiograms, and stress tests.
- Demonstrate competence as an Echocardiography Technician.
- Maintain knowledge of current trends and techniques in echocardiography.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standards during procedures.
Requirements
- Demonstrated competence as an Echocardiography Technician.
- Minimum of rotation in a program for cardiac ultrasound.
- Knowledge of EKG testing and interpretation.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
