About the position

Westat is seeking motivated bilingual assessors to conduct assessments and interviews for the Early Childhood Longitudinal Study, Kindergarten Class of 2023-24 (ECLS-K:2024). This part-time role involves working with children and parents to gather data on children's learning and development, requiring fluency in both English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person child assessments at schools or participants' homes.
• Conduct telephone or in-person parent interviews in both English and Spanish.
• Complete child assessments and parent interviews accurately and efficiently.

Requirements

• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Experience working with children.
• Basic computer skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in education.
• Experience collecting data in a standardized manner.
• Experience conducting assessments in schools.
• Strong reading, verbal, and written communication skills.
