The ECMC Application Development Coordinator is responsible for managing and developing application projects related to the Colorado Oil and Gas Information System (COGIS). This role involves liaising with the Office of Information Technology and contract developers to ensure the effective implementation of applications that support the agency's mission of regulating energy and carbon management. The coordinator will oversee project management, quality assurance testing, and the development of training programs to assist users in navigating new tools and interfaces.

  • Manage and develop COGIS application development projects.
  • Liaise with Office of Information Technology (OIT) and contract developers for project execution.
  • Provide leadership and oversight to subject matter leadership units for application development.
  • Prioritize projects and communicate database needs to the COGIS Data Coordinator.
  • Conduct quality assurance testing of project releases and oversee implementation of new procedures.
  • Develop training programs and user guidance for new tools and reports.
  • Create and maintain effective business process documentation for ECMC Units.
  • Identify application development needs and improve existing business processes.
  • Seven years of relevant experience in application development, data management, information systems, or related fields.
  • A combination of education and experience equaling seven years in relevant fields.
  • Experience in application development and technical project management.
  • Familiarity with programming languages.
  • Expertise in SQL database design and queries.
  • Proficiency with Google applications and project management software (Azure DevOps, Asana).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service experience.
  • Attention to detail and strong time management skills.
  • Experience in energy regulation or natural resources.
