About the position

The ECMC Temporary Form Analyst Specialist position is a temporary role focused on data analysis and support for the Colorado Energy & Carbon Management Commission. The specialist will be responsible for reviewing and processing data related to oil and gas operations, ensuring accuracy in data handling, and supporting the transfer of operator assets. This role requires a strong understanding of electronic forms systems and the ability to resolve discrepancies in data submissions.

Responsibilities

  • Review and process monthly production data uploaded by Operators.
  • Adjust formation codes to correct temporary placeholder coding based on completion reporting approval.
  • Develop knowledge of the electronic forms system and related Rules of the Commission.
  • Review data and correct report lines for incomplete submissions.
  • Resolve technical issues involving permitting and engineering departments.
  • Respond to internal and external requests for production data.
  • Identify and correct inaccurate production records.
  • Review transfer of assets data submitted by Operators for accuracy and completeness.
  • Address discrepancies between buying and selling Operator submissions.
  • Coordinate resolution for discrepancies to move Form 9's to the next process stage.
  • Review bond release requests and document current status of Operator obligations.

Requirements

  • Five years of relevant experience in a related occupation or a combination of education and experience equaling five years.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software suite and Google applications.
  • Familiarity with forms processing and data interpretation.
  • Computer literacy and experience with Google Suite, Zoom, MS Word, MS Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Basic project management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and maintain a positive demeanor.
