About the position

This position is responsible for attracting and locating new business and industry to the Duke Energy Florida (DEF) service area, as well as supporting the retention and expansion of existing industries. The role involves preparing proposals that accurately represent Duke Energy's capabilities and engaging with economic development leadership to enhance community relations. The incumbent will work to support rural areas and collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve economic development goals.

Responsibilities

• Attract and locate new business and industry to the DEF service area.
• Support retention and expansion of existing industries within DEF's service area.
• Prepare proposals that accurately represent Duke Energy's ability to serve clients.
• Plan and assist with client's in-state project meetings.
• Engage with economic development leadership and community stakeholders.
• Support client management, lead generation, and site development.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key economic development leaders and decision-makers.
• Support economic development partners with marketing materials and participate in targeted call missions.
• Collaborate with internal management and stakeholders to identify target industries and sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree AND three (3) years minimum related experience OR Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Accounting, Business (or equivalent) AND five (5) + years minimum related work experience OR High School/GED AND ten (10)+ years related work experience in lieu of degree.
• Valid driver's license.

• Experience in proposal development and site selection RFI responses
