About the position

The AWS Central Economics & Sciences team is seeking a PhD economist to conduct econometric analyses and develop structural economic models. This role involves working on high-impact analytic projects that support AWS service teams and leadership, particularly in pricing strategies to enhance business growth and customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct econometric analyses using methods in causal inference.
• Develop prescriptive recommendations with structural economic models.

Requirements

• PhD in Economics, Quantitative Marketing, Finance, or closely related field.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of data analysis languages (e.g., R, Stata, Python, etc.) or other statistical software
• Experience in a postdoctoral position, consulting position, government position or academic research
• Experience with SQL.
