About the position

The ED Registered Nurse at Oklahoma ER & Hospital is responsible for providing high-quality emergency care to patients of all ages in a concierge-level environment. This role involves coordinating and delivering patient care, performing assessments, supervising support staff, and ensuring effective communication with patients and families. The position requires a commitment to maintaining licensure and participating in ongoing education and performance improvement activities.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care to all ages safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.
• Performs head-to-toe and psych-social assessments on all patients and reassessments as per departmental policy.
• Accurately assigns the five (5) level triage categories to ensure timely and appropriate patient care.
• Supervises ER Techs, Radiology/CT Techs, and other support personnel assigned to the Emergency Department.
• Maintains current knowledge of drugs and uses the five (5) rights of medication administration.
• Communicates with patients, families, physicians, and other departmental personnel courteously and professionally.
• Maintains a clean working environment.
• Participates in continuing education through training and educational programs.
• Participates in monthly staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
• Performs other duties, tasks, and projects as management assigns.

Requirements

• 2 years of Emergency Room experience.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Licensure with the State Board of Nurse Examiners for their state.
• Current BCLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
