About the position
The Ed Specialist Co-Teacher for Elementary Full Inclusion at TLC Public Charter School plays a crucial role in delivering quality instruction to a diverse group of students within an inclusive educational environment. This position emphasizes collaboration, creativity, and a commitment to professional growth, ensuring that all students receive tailored support through effective IEP implementation and co-teaching strategies.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality instruction consistent with the school mission and vision
- Maintain responsibility for student IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring for students
- Coordinate with service providers to ensure full implementation of IEPs in inclusive classroom settings
- Participate in common grade level planning to develop matched lesson plans that maintain continuity within each grade level
- Partner with a general educator to implement a co-teaching model including co-planning, co-assessment and co-instruction
- Engage in regular data reviews to meet the changing needs of students
- Provide an effective classroom environment that reflects and facilitates the academic program
- Continue to engage in professional development opportunities throughout the school year
- Provide for open communication with all members of the school community
- Adapt materials and modify curriculum to ensure equal access for all students

- Education Specialist Instruction Credential - Moderate/Severe
