About the position

As a Manager in the Amended Return Center (ARC) at EY, you will leverage your corporate income tax expertise to oversee tax compliance engagements and support the US team in essential processes. This role involves supervising a team of professionals, providing guidance on tax returns, and identifying opportunities and risks while ensuring high-quality deliverables. You will also engage in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to the overall success of the team and the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and high-quality work products to the senior manager team.
  • Supervise a motivated team of professionals in the Global Delivery Services (GDS) team in India.
  • Review tax returns and provide review notes and guidance.
  • Mentor and support team members to help them reach their full potential.
  • Identify potential opportunities and risks while reviewing tax returns and communicate these to the senior manager team.
  • Work on various special projects, such as tax research, when assigned.
  • Analyze specific issues in the review of amended tax returns based on established processes and guidance.
  • Follow up on the status of deliverables and problem-solve issues preventing completion.
  • Execute tasks in continuous improvement projects to drive improved quality and efficiency.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business major or equivalent experience.
  • 6-8 years of experience in tax compliance or related field.
  • Experience managing a team.
  • CPA or EA certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of global statutory reporting and/or bookkeeping across multiple countries.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-solving ability.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and IT concepts.
