About the position

The Housekeeper at Edgefield is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of hotel rooms and common areas, ensuring a pleasant experience for guests. This role involves various cleaning tasks, customer service, and collaboration with other staff members to support hotel operations.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain hotel rooms in a timely manner.
• Prepare rooms daily and ensure they are clean and pleasant for guests.
• Upkeep of linen closets and cleaning of toilets, sinks, showers, and floors.
• Assist maintenance staff when needed and provide support to the front desk.
• Help guests with requests such as ironing boards and cribs.
• Answer guest questions and provide excellent customer service.
• Report any safety concerns to management.

Requirements

• Previous hotel-related housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm and friendly in stressful situations.
• Ability to work in a high-volume, deadline-oriented environment.
• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures.
