The Editor position at the University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources (UC ANR) is a vital role within the UC ANR Publications team, which is responsible for the editing and graphic design of peer-reviewed materials produced by UC academics, UCCE personnel, and other contributors. The publications aim to serve stakeholders in California's agriculture, natural resources, youth development, and community nutrition sectors, as well as the broader California population. The role involves working on a variety of publications, including single-page fact sheets, comprehensive manuals on crop management, the California Master Gardener Handbook, and the flagship journal, California Agriculture. Many of these publications are available in print and online, with a significant number offered under an Open Access license, ensuring that UC research is accessible to the communities it serves. As an Editor, you will be responsible for performing developmental editing on complex scientific manuscripts. This includes consulting with and advising academic authors to enhance the clarity and quality of their final manuscripts. Upholding high editorial standards is paramount, as the quality of these publications directly impacts the dissemination of important research findings and information to the public. This position is a career appointment that is 100% fixed, offering a competitive salary range of $64,300 to $89,300 per year.
