About the position

The role involves working on a variety of publications, including single-page fact sheets, comprehensive manuals on crop management, the California Master Gardener Handbook, and the flagship journal, California Agriculture. Many of these publications are available in print and online, with a significant number offered under an Open Access license, ensuring that UC research is accessible to the communities it serves. As an Editor, you will be responsible for performing developmental editing on complex scientific manuscripts. This includes consulting with and advising academic authors to enhance the clarity and quality of their final manuscripts. Upholding high editorial standards is paramount, as the quality of these publications directly impacts the dissemination of important research findings and information to the public. This position is a career appointment that is 100% fixed, offering a competitive salary range of $64,300 to $89,300 per year. Responsibilities
