About the position

The Editor, Marketing Operations Material Review is responsible for the editorial review of all advertising, promotional, disease awareness, and promotional labeling materials. This role ensures quality, accuracy, and compliance with company standards throughout the review process, acting as a content champion and collaborating with various teams to incorporate necessary changes before distribution.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and edits promotional and sales training materials for accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  • Proofreads pharmaceutical promotional materials for both consumer and professional audiences.
  • Compares original text and images to final approved versions using an electronic routing system.
  • Validates materials for adherence to standards and confirms presence of linked references prior to review.
  • Quality checks materials before MRP submission for grammar, consistency, and document linking.
  • Performs final content review of production files to ensure alignment with approved documents.
  • Attends live meetings for Core Brand material review as a reviewer or as requested.
  • Performs courtesy proofreads on in-process materials as requested.
  • Collaborates with Marketing Operations, Medical, Regulatory, and Project Owners to address inconsistencies.
  • Communicates timely and accurate information regarding project progress to relevant stakeholders.
  • Manages priorities flexibly to meet deadlines.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of editing/proofreading experience or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of AMA style.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to various software tools as necessary.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related discipline.
  • Prior experience in marketing, communication, or advertising agency.
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Veeva PromoMats, and DocuProof.
  • Knowledge of AbbVie products and marketing is a plus.
  • Understanding of medical terminology is helpful.
