About the position

We are seeking an experienced video editor to create a 60-second trailer for a historical documentary focused on the 1950s-60s. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in editing and be able to work with both pre-existing footage and new images as necessary. This role requires a professional touch and creativity to effectively convey the essence of the documentary.

Responsibilities

• Edit a 60-second trailer using pre-existing images and footage.
• Incorporate new images as needed to enhance the trailer.
• Possibly write a small script and include voice-over (VO) elements.
• Ensure the final product meets professional standards and effectively represents the documentary.

Requirements

• Proven experience in video editing, particularly with trailers or short films.
• Strong portfolio showcasing previous work, especially in documentary or historical content.
• Ability to work independently and creatively to produce high-quality edits.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with voice-over recording and scriptwriting.
• Familiarity with historical documentary content.
