The Apple Human Interface Design team conceptualizes, designs and ships the user experience for Apple products and services. We are in search of an Editor to work with our Design team, helping to showcase work through storytelling. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, and a background in VFX editorial, with experience running dailies and ingesting media. Description - Craft creative videos with Design team members - Run daily shot and sequence reviews - Create and maintain effective editorial workflows for a wide range of projects - Act as a champion of Apple brand standards in all aspects of creative work 10+ years of experience in Feature, TV, VFX, or advertising editorial departments Strong working knowledge and demonstrated experience with Adobe Premiere and/or Final Cut Pro Knowledgable in the field of creative editing - the pictorial language and structure of storytelling Deep knowledge and experience both creatively and technically managing various formats and deliverables Proven understanding of devices, frame rates, codecs, file formats, and cameras Understanding of the post production pipeline: offline, online and conform, plate ingestion, general compositing, retiming, project archiving and mixing Comprehensive knowledge of a VFX pipeline from capture to final delivery Experience with supervised sessions Ability to adapt to a variety of visual styles Excellent communication skills Self-motivated and curious, with an enthusiasm for new tools and workflows Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with the Academy Color Encoding System and conversion best practices Experience editing on MacOS Experience with After Effects, Nuke, Hiero, Compressor, Photoshop Interest in new media types and emerging formats Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
