About the position

HoneyBook is seeking an experienced Editorial Content Marketing Manager to develop and own a unified editorial strategy across all content touchpoints, including the blog, marketing site, and educational channels. This role is crucial in shaping the voice of our brand, ensuring consistency and alignment across all platforms. The ideal candidate will blend creativity with strategic thinking to produce content that informs, educates, engages, and inspires our audience. By establishing and maintaining a cohesive content narrative, this individual will play a critical role in amplifying brand awareness and fostering deeper connections with our target audience of independent business owners, ultimately driving acquisition and strengthening retention. In this position, you will be responsible for developing a clear content strategy and calendar that cross-functional stakeholders can align with, enabling us to tell one cohesive brand story in the market. This includes defining our content focus areas, establishing a monthly workflow within each focus area, and identifying the resources and stakeholders required for execution. You will work with cross-functional partners to define content goals that align with company objectives and effectively communicate the content team's progress towards these goals with marketing and leadership stakeholders. You will craft and maintain compelling, high-quality, long-form content that resonates with our target audience, integrates our brand positioning, and drives engagement on our blog and website. Additionally, you will develop an editorial thought leadership platform in partnership with the Communications team, elevating the brand as a credible cultural leader for independent businesses and reinforcing our position as an authority in the industry. Establishing and maintaining our editorial guidelines will be essential to ensure our editorial tone of voice reflects our brand positioning, value propositions, and core values across all content surfaces. As a member champion, you will develop our member storytelling program and strategic execution to ensure the member experience remains central to our content strategy. This includes initiatives like customer case studies, product use cases, and integrating the member voice into marketing campaigns. You will also generate insights and recommendations for improving content effectiveness and ROI, including on-page UX/UI considerations, and work with creative and development partners to enhance the content experience. Finally, you will manage the content budget and external vendor relationships, including budget projections, expense management, contracts, renewals, and adjustments.
