About the position

The Editorial Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting marketing teams within the financial and pharmaceutical industries. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong writing and editing skills, particularly in copywriting and web writing. The ideal candidate will have over three years of experience and will be responsible for updating content, creating guidelines, and ensuring the accuracy of materials across various platforms.

Responsibilities

• Write and edit content including alt text, email invitations, newsletters, web promotions, social posts, and paid media.
• Review existing evergreen articles to recommend updates and changes.
• Create a writer's guide for producing shareholder letters, including interviewing and documenting processes.
• Proofread and fact-check materials to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Assist writers in the research phase and compile approved backup materials for fact-checking.
• Update statistical information and investment disclosures in materials as required.
• Work with various databases to retrieve current data for updating materials.
• Rewrite content for different audience versions and channels, ensuring the overall message remains intact.
• Act as a liaison with agencies and managed services, checking their work for accuracy.
• Support writers within creative agencies by facilitating legal reviews.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in editing and writing, particularly in copywriting or web writing.
• Experience in the financial services or pharmaceutical sector is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to proofread and fact-check materials.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with in-house disclosure tools.
• Familiarity with various databases and systems for data retrieval.
