About the position

The Education and Training Manager at J.M. Huber Corporation will play a crucial role in providing technical and application-based product training to support associates within Huber Engineered Woods (HEW) and select external customers. This position is primarily focused on preparing sales staff and other teams at HEW for success in their roles, with the potential to expand into developing and implementing training programs for specifiers and installers of HEW products. The incumbent will work closely with colleagues across HEW to analyze the training needs of various groups and develop relevant training content to support their roles. Additionally, the Education and Training Manager will be responsible for administrative duties related to managing continuing education programs, training events, and the mobile learning platform. This role is designed for an individual contributor and requires collaboration with the technical services team and other departments to create and deliver effective training content. The position is hybrid, allowing for a mix of in-office and remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and application-based product training for HEW associates and select external customers.
  • Analyze training needs of various constituent groups and develop relevant training programs.
  • Collaborate with technical services team to develop and deliver training content.
  • Manage continuing education programs with the American Institute of Architects, the International Code Council, and state licensing agencies.
  • Design and deliver New Hire Training events, including logistics and content development.
  • Develop mobile learning platform strategy, including content creation and user management.
  • Create and manage video-based learning content, collaborating with outside vendors as needed.
  • Perform administrative duties related to training events and continuing education programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Education, Instructional Design, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years experience analyzing training needs and developing training programs consistent with the adult learning process.
  • 2+ years experience with light-frame wood construction and installation of wood frame products.
  • Ability to lift/handle up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail and a helping attitude.
