About the position

The Education Capacity-Building Coordinator at the Oklahoma City-County Health Department (OCCHD) is a professional role focused on teen pregnancy prevention (TPP) and reproductive health. This position coordinates training and technical assistance for project partners, ensuring the effective implementation of evidence-based practices (EBPs) and supporting program providers in delivering quality health education. The coordinator will also engage with various stakeholders to enhance program capacity and align evaluation activities with project goals.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the content expert in teen pregnancy prevention and reproductive health.
  • Coordinate training and technical assistance for project partners.
  • Assist program providers in selecting and piloting evidence-based practices in targeted settings.
  • Align data collection and evaluation activities with program implementation plans.
  • Participate in health educator network meetings and provide ongoing technical assistance.
  • Ensure fidelity and quality of evidence-based program delivery through monitoring and recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain contacts between OCCHD and other agencies.
  • Analyze policy and research related to teen pregnancy prevention.
  • Design and produce professional materials for training and outreach.
  • Drive to off-site locations as needed for job duties.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Public Health, Education, or related field, or Bachelor's degree with relevant experience.
  • 1 year of health education experience preferred.
  • Valid Oklahoma driver license required.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Experience in data analytics and public health education.

  • Ability to communicate with diverse groups using tact and diplomacy.
  • Skills in training, program planning, and implementation.
