Education Consultant (Sacramento, CA)

About the position

The North America's Education Consultant role at Promethean focuses on delivering high-quality training and pre-sales support to customers, enhancing their experience with Promethean's interactive hardware and software solutions. This position is integral in building long-term relationships with clients, providing professional development, and supporting the sales team through demonstrations and educational expertise. The consultant will engage with educators and stakeholders to promote the effective use of technology in learning environments, ultimately contributing to Promethean's mission of transforming education and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional development and ongoing support to Promethean customers, securing future sales.
• Conduct training sessions on Promethean hardware/software and deliver courses from the Promethean PD catalog.
• Build relationships with customers to support their training and implementation of Promethean products.
• Offer pre-sales support through presentations, demonstrations, and sales engagement.
• Deliver high-quality pre-service sales support at seminars, trade shows, and sales meetings.
• Maintain communication with sales management regarding assigned accounts and provide pre-sales demonstrations.
• Participate in national and virtual customer engagement events to enhance educator skills.
• Raise awareness of Promethean products and professional development offerings in collaboration with sales teams.
• Identify customer needs through solution-based selling techniques and demonstrate the value of Promethean products.
• Collaborate with sales teams and other departments to ensure customer success.
• Liaise with school principals and district staff to support positive changes in education through Promethean's offerings.
• Stay updated on technology trends and monitor usage data to identify improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of lead teaching experience in a US classroom.
• Valid Teacher Certification.
• Experience with Promethean/Interactive Flat Panel in training and content development.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to engage educators at all levels.
• Excellent public speaking skills for large groups of educators.
• Firm understanding of teaching and learning pedagogy.
• Understanding of the business side of education to support pre-sales efforts.
• High knowledge of educational technology and current trends.
• Experience with research-based approaches to teaching reading, writing, and mathematics.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in project management for training development and delivery.
• Familiarity with Common Core standards.
