Education Specialist (Mild/Moderate)

About the position

Looking for a dynamic, Education Specialist to be a part of a collaborative team that works tirelessly in the remediation and acceleration of students in middle and high school. Must have the ability to teach both general education and special education students through the co-teach model, plan and collaborate closely with general education counterparts, teach basic reading in a Learning Center, as well as write and implement legally defendable behavior plans and IEP's. Strong classroom management and the ability to differentiate instruction is a must. We are looking for a Teacher with the following credential: California Education Specialist Instruction Credential - Mild/Moderate.

Responsibilities

• Teach both general education and special education students through the co-teach model.
• Plan and collaborate closely with general education counterparts.
• Teach basic reading in a Learning Center.
• Write and implement legally defendable behavior plans and IEP's.
• Demonstrate strong classroom management.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.

Requirements

• California Education Specialist Instruction Credential - Mild/Moderate.
• Passed CSET, CBEST and CLAD exams.
• Valid TB test, CPR and First Aid Certification and Livescan upon hire.
• Applicants must attach a cover letter/letter of introduction, a resume, and 3 letters of reference including a letter from your previous supervisor and school principal.
