About the position

The School Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) position at Epic Special Education Staffing involves providing specialized support in a school setting for the 2024-2025 academic year. This part-time role focuses on enhancing the educational experience of students in Pre-K through Elementary School, allowing the therapist to leverage their skills to make a significant impact on special education.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to students in a school setting.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to develop and implement therapy plans.
• Assist in the assessment and evaluation of students' needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student progress.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education plans (IEPs).

Requirements

• 1 year of verifiable professional experience as a School Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) within the last 3 years.
• Valid School Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) credential/license or in process in the state of practice.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
