Responsibilities

  • Provide a diverse selection of academic, occupational, vocational training, and recreational programs for inmates.
  • Assist with the maintenance and control of the Education Department records and files.
  • Ensure that all reporting requirements are met for the Education Department.
  • Key education information into the Education Data System (EDS) based on information provided by professional staff.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • For GL-06: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in federal service, including maintaining and controlling education/training records and files.
  • For GL-07: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in federal service, including planning, conducting, or evaluating educational and training programs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in preparing spreadsheets and reports for educational purposes.
  • Knowledge of audio-visual equipment and business-related equipment.
