About The Position

The Educator-RN position is a full-time role focused on providing education primarily for nursing staff, as well as other disciplines within the hospital. The educator will plan, implement, facilitate, and evaluate various educational programs, including patient care orientation and continuing education. This role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and other educators to enhance staff competencies and support the hospital's mission and values.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing, BSN required.
• Current RN license in the state of Kentucky or Kentucky work permit.
• Certifications based on the unit worked: BLS, ACLS, PALS.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, facilitate, and evaluate house-wide classes and educational programs.
• Work collaboratively with other educators and department leaders to enhance staff competencies.
• Develop and provide ongoing coaching to preceptors and new employees.
• Facilitate new employee clinical orientation and certification courses.
• Develop and revise clinical orientation curriculum based on feedback.
• Oversee the CNA program based on Medicare standards as needed.
• Collaborate with the American Heart Association training center for ACLS, BLS, and PALS training.
• Identify scope of practice issues and prioritize educational needs based on critical thinking and effective decision-making.
