About the position

The position involves supporting the design and development of electronic control and monitoring circuitry for powered equipment applications. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong communication skills, the ability to work with diverse groups, and effective planning and organizational abilities. The role requires compliance with safety and regulatory standards while managing new product development (NPD) goals and ensuring that designs meet customer specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design and development of electronics control and monitoring circuitry.
  • Perform safety critical functions and ensure compliance with government regulations.
  • Evaluate compliance of manufacturing standards with customer specifications.
  • Manage and support new product development (NPD) business goals.
  • Participate in electrical schematic and PCB design/layout.
  • Work with customers to meet design and functional performance needs.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to migrate new designs into production.
  • Design and develop new testing hardware and software for product development.
  • Develop, test, and troubleshoot applications and test software.
  • Review and lead product testing for Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC).
  • Support the development of prototype and production tools, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Execute administrative procedures such as stock requisitions and expense reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or applicable work experience.
  • 2-5 years of related engineering experience in design and manufacture of electronic assemblies.
  • Experience in electronics simulation, preferably in the automobile or commercial vehicle industry.
  • Proficient in using DMM, Oscilloscope, Power Supply, Function Generator, and CAN network communication devices.
  • Understanding of automotive specifications and requirements such as ISO 16750/7637, SAE J1113, CISPR25, ISO 10605.
  • Computer skills in C/C++ programming (Embedded), Visual Studio, PADS/Mentor Graphics, LabVIEW, and Microsoft Office.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the automobile or commercial vehicle industry.
  • Familiarity with Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing standards.
