About the position

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role involves implementing age-appropriate curricula, engaging with students in meaningful ways, and collaborating with parents to support each child's growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
  • Monitor and assess children's progress in various developmental areas, including social skills, language acquisition, and motor skills.
  • Utilize effective behavior management strategies to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development and classroom activities.
  • Collaborate with special education professionals to support children with diverse learning needs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom space that promotes learning through play.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.

Requirements

  • Department of Early Education and Care Teacher Certification I/T REQUIRED
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
  • Experience working with infant-aged children in a classroom setting is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage children effectively.
  • Experience in caregiving or special education is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact positively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • A genuine love for teaching and nurturing young minds is essential.
  • SIDS training.

Nice-to-haves

  • Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
  • Experience in caregiving or special education is a plus.
