About the position

The EHS Support III position at TE Connectivity is focused on supporting environmental, health, and safety (EHS) efforts at the Redwood City and Fremont facilities. The role involves ensuring compliance with various regulations, developing policies, and leading safety initiatives while working closely with management and staff. This position offers an opportunity to learn from an experienced EHS Manager and to take a leadership role in executing EHS programs in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a working interface between the facilities, Business Unit Management, and the Corporate Environmental, Health and Safety Department.
  • Develop policies, standards, and procedures and ensure implementation and compliance with regulations.
  • Create and facilitate a campus safety committee with representation from each lab.
  • Coordinate reporting, tracking, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for workplace and environmental incidents.
  • Provide guidance on Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Risk assessments.
  • Work with management to set short and long-term goals for safety and environmental improvements.
  • Administer and track multiple safety programs including hazardous communication and contractor safety.
  • Facilitate workplace inspections and industrial hygiene surveys.
  • Manage facility environmental permits and track safety and environmental metrics.
  • Oversee the management of change (MOC) process and assist in audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental or safety science or related technical field.
  • 3-5 years of EH&S working experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of environmental permitting and industrial ergonomics.
  • Behavioral Based Safety experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize issues and implement corrective actions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in facilitating safety committees.
  • Familiarity with safety culture improvement initiatives.
