About the position

Secure Healthcare Information Management is seeking a full-time EHR (Electronic Health Records) Support Specialist to provide ongoing support and implementation of EHR software within client organizations. The EHR Support Specialist will be responsible for effective communication with end users regarding functionality and workflows, ensuring that all aspects of the deployed EHR solutions are utilized effectively. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the EHR systems used by our clients in the Greater Lehigh Valley. The EHR Support Specialist will handle phone support for the EHR application, addressing client inquiries and providing assistance in training staff on the EHR and supporting software. This position requires the development and design of comprehensive training materials, participation in workflow design, and management of reported issues with the EHR system. The specialist will also be responsible for maintaining the EHR patient portal and documenting software solutions in the knowledge base for future reference by support staff. Collaboration with other departments is essential to ensure that support software is up to date and functioning smoothly. The EHR Support Specialist will work closely with team members to continually improve user satisfaction and provide excellent customer service by anticipating client needs and resolving issues effectively. This position offers a weekday, daytime schedule, typically concluding by 5 PM, making it ideal for those seeking a stable work-life balance.

Responsibilities

  • Handle phone support of EHR application and address client inquiries.
  • Assist in the training of all staff in EHR and supporting software.
  • Provide ongoing support for client's staff as it relates to the EHR system.
  • Assist in the development and design of training materials that are thorough and accurate.
  • Participate in workflow design and development for all users.
  • Investigate and manage the resolution of reported issues with the EHR system.
  • Manage, develop and keep up to date all functions of the EHR patient portal.
  • Support EHR by resolving minor and major issues and documenting software solutions in the knowledge base.
  • Collaborate with various members of the Support staff to improve user satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Experience working with EHR in a medical/clinical setting.
  • Experience as a support team member for EHR software programs is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork and working with end users.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to speak publicly, such as conducting group trainings.
  • Proven ability to provide excellent customer service by anticipating customer needs.
  • Ability to think critically and provide relevant, realistic solutions to complex technical problems.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to adhere to regular attendance.
