About the position
The Estacada School District is seeking a part-time Assistant Varsity Basketball Coach for the Boys Program at Estacada High School for the 2024/2025 season. This role focuses on coaching student athletes, fostering their development, and building a cohesive K-12 program that supports the community.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices and games.
- Motivate and teach student athletes to reach their full potential.
- Work collaboratively with youth programs to align the basketball program K-12.
- Demonstrate leadership and organizational skills in coaching activities.
- Build positive relationships with adolescent athletes in various settings.
Requirements
- ASEP or NFHS Certification prior to the first day of coaching.
- First Aid certification or ability to obtain training.
- Prior coaching experience preferred.
- Completion of Online Public School Works training before the first day with players.
- Pass a fingerprint-based criminal background check at the employee's expense.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in coaching basketball at the high school level.
- Strong communication skills with students and parents.
- Ability to develop and implement training programs.
