About The Position

The EHS Coordinator/Health & Safety Coordinator at Safran Landing Systems Wheel & Brake Services is responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives within a production environment. This role focuses on enhancing safety, quality, and operational efficiency through the application of lean principles and project management. The coordinator will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement improvements, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and foster a culture of operational excellence.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One+ years of continuous improvement experience within a production facility.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Demonstrated knowledge and practice of continuous improvement and lean principles.
• Solid project management skills to create buy-in and ensure deadlines are met.
• Ability to influence without authority and manage conflict effectively.

Nice To Haves

• Six Sigma Green Belt certification
• Experience in a manufacturing facility
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 standards

Responsibilities

• Identify improvement and cost reduction opportunities and design projects to capitalize on them.
• Lead cross-functional teams in the implementation of improvement projects and build systems to sustain improvements.
• Establish metrics to measure progress of lean activities.
• Collaborate with site management to promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Conduct time studies for production processes.
• Promote best practice sharing and drive participative innovation among employees.
• Provide training and coaching on continuous improvement techniques and tools.
• Collaborate with management to identify internal White and Green Belt certification candidates and mentor them throughout the certification process.
• Implement policies and procedures to control hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
• Facilitate HSE trainings to ensure safety compliance.
• Perform risk analysis and accident investigations to prevent reoccurrence.
• Monitor and track HSE metrics and ensure compliance with regulatory programs.
• Conduct routine audits to evaluate compliance with policies and regulations.
• Support safety and environmental management systems to achieve ISO 14001 standards.
