Effectively implement Company's HSE Management System. Integrates environmental / safety compliance and management systems into manufacturing operations. Champions operations excellence by showing employees how their actions connect to Company's HSE vision and create long term value. Participates in Strategic Planning Process, track metrics, provide leadership and training, meet day to day environmental / safety requirements, drive continuous improvement of the company's environmental / safety management system. Provides a good foundation and solid understanding of major environmental and safety regulations and represent the facility during environmental / safety agency inspections. Tasks: Provide the leadership and direction to coordinate, develop, implement, and enforce and ensure compliance OSHA and Company policies, especially critical policies & procedures at site Conduct safety inspections and accident reports identifying root cause and ensure implementation of corrective actions Maintain a standardized record keeping system for all accidents with review and follow-up Work cooperatively with federal, state and local agencies to insure company compliance with safety codes Assist in preparation, editing, and publication of safety education bulletins, guides, courses of study pamphlets, audio/visual and other materials Maintain SDS requirements Direct and oversee Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Safety Topic training Play key role in all Walk-thru inspections of facility Direct and oversee New Hire Safety orientation Management or all waste - coordination with vendors, maintaining documentation, and scheduling pickup Ensure environmental recordkeeping is properly maintained Additional duties may be assigned Skills: Encourage and build mutual trust, respect and cooperation among employees. Ability to multi- task. Develop a safety-oriented culture amongst employees. Ability to comfortably interact both with management, production and warehouse employees. Develop and conduct training programs. Able to stand for long periods of time with limited breaks. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and team lift up to 150 pounds. Work in extreme temperatures and elements for an extended period of time. Must be able to work in confined spaces. Must be able to work at elevated heights. Must be able to read and comprehend basic drawings and scope of work. Must possess basic math skills, addition, subtraction. Qualities: Ability to communicate effectively (oral & written). Ability to lead others in an industrial setting. Dependable Teachable Mechanically Inclined Committed to Personal Excellence (Safety, Quality, Productivity) Experience and Education: High School Diploma, GED, or High School Equivalence Certificate (required) 3 years relevant work experience in an Industrial, Manufacturing, or Construction Industry.
