About the position

The EHS/Facilities Manager at Signode is responsible for overseeing all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) activities across multiple locations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This role involves fostering a strong safety culture, maintaining facility quality, and collaborating with the Corporate EHS department. The manager will also engage with employees on the manufacturing floor to promote safety and compliance, making this a highly visible and interactive position.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all Environmental, Health, and Safety activities for multiple locations.
• Ensure facility compliance with federal, state, local, and corporate EHS laws and regulations.
• Document and maintain employee training regarding regulatory requirements.
• Monitor follow-ups and corrective actions from EHS audits.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for multiple sites.
• Act as a liaison between management and external safety agencies.
• Coordinate EHS requirements including ergonomics with site leaders.
• Investigate accidents and conduct root cause analysis.
• Maintain documentation of safety procedures and incidents.
• Perform site audits and implement corrective actions with management teams.
• Responsible for emergency preparedness planning and drills.
• Supervise facilities staff and external contractors for the Roselle location.
• Maintain contracts for outside services and collaborate with the landlord.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or a related discipline.
• 5-7 years of experience in an environmental, health and safety role.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
• Ability to work any shift and extended hours as needed.
• Ability to travel as required.
