About the position

Skanska is seeking a dynamic Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager for heavy civil construction projects. This role is pivotal in integrating EHS services into business practices and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The EHS Manager will work closely with various stakeholders, including EH&S staff, superintendents, project managers, and regional EHS directors, to oversee EHS responsibilities on assigned projects.

Responsibilities

• Integrate environmental health & safety services into business practices.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements on assigned projects.
• Oversee EHS responsibilities related to heavy civil construction projects.
• Interact directly with EH&S staff, superintendents, project managers, and regional EHS directors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety/Health, engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in heavy civil infrastructure construction.
• Advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through education and experience.
• Understanding of management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching, and process execution.
