About the position

The EHS Manager will lead the Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives within the organization, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting a culture of safety. This role is crucial for managing EHS programs and driving continuous improvement in environmental sustainability and workplace safety practices in the manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections of the manufacturing facility to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations and analyze data to identify root causes and prevent recurrence of safety incidents.
• Manage and oversee the implementation of ISO 14001 standards within the organization.
• Provide training and support to employees on EHS practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe machinery operation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety and environmental considerations into product design and manufacturing processes.
• Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics to senior management and stakeholders.
• Stay up-to-date with new regulations and trends in health, safety, and environmental management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an EHS Manager in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Strong understanding of ISO 14001 standards and implementation.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations including Title V and wastewater management is a plus.
• Experience in safety management and risk assessment methodologies.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CIH) is a plus.
