About the position
The EHS Manager will oversee Environmental, Health, and Safety programs within the manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations while fostering a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on EHS practices, including the proper use of PPE and LOTO procedures.
- Lead incident investigations and maintain records of accidents, injuries, and near misses to identify trends and improve safety protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote safety initiatives and ensure adherence to EHS standards throughout the organization.
- Oversee environmental management systems in accordance with ISO 14001 and ensure compliance with applicable air quality and wastewater regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in an EHS management role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety management practices, and environmental compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply them in a practical setting.
Nice-to-haves
- Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CIH) is preferred but not required.
- Experience with hazardous materials management and environmental permitting, including Title V, stormwater, and wastewater regulations is a huge plus.
