About the position

The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager at Rinnai America Corporation is responsible for leading and developing the safety and environmental culture across multiple sites. This role involves managing daily operations to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, overseeing EHS audits, and implementing safety programs. The EHS Manager will also analyze EHS performance data and lead incident investigations, ensuring a safe working environment for all associates.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement all Operations EHS elements within the 4 RAC sites.
  • Develop and lead system audits to monitor conformance to requirements and drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage and take ownership of all system and safety compliance related elements (OSHA) applicable to the sites.
  • Create safety programs consistent with corporate programs and systems.
  • Ensure all associate training is provided and documented to meet requirements.
  • Champion all Safety engagement programs and ensure management and associates are engaged.
  • Lead Incident Investigations related to associate injuries, near misses, and property damage.
  • Provide analysis of all data related to EHS performance at the sites, including injury trends and near miss incidents.
  • Develop metrics to track and report EHS performance to plant management.
  • Serve as company administrator for the MSDS system and ensure MSDS are up to date.
  • Lead routine EHS and system audits to ensure compliance and support continuous improvement.
  • Report any concerns to appropriate resources.
  • Develop effective safety educational programs and conduct training to ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Support workers compensation claims with external partners and HR.
  • Coordinate and lead site safety committees.
  • Support Corporate Safety Steering Committee.
  • Embrace and support growing business demands in a changing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Environmental or Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field required.
  • 10+ years of experience leading Health & Safety programs within a manufacturing environment.
  • Certification as Lean and/or Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
  • Basic financial acumen to understand financial impact of decisions on the operation.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to effectively lead and manage in a complex, multi-faceted role.
  • Computer literacy including MS Office products.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
