About the position

The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager at Eaton's Hodges Busway plant is responsible for leading EHS and Sustainability initiatives, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and promoting a safe and environmentally sustainable workplace. This role involves developing strategies, managing EHS reporting, and providing support to plant leadership to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Create and deploy a strategy to achieve the Hodges Busway EHS and Sustainability goals.
  • Establish ownership and accountability to achieve goals with the EHS and Leadership Team.
  • Facilitate evaluation and implementation of responsible methods to reduce operational environmental footprint.
  • Build organizational capability by providing EHS mentorship, training, and development.
  • Support Continuous Improvement Activities to incorporate EHS initiatives.
  • Identify, assess, and reduce Environmental Health & Safety risks through management systems.
  • Interface with governmental authorities regarding environmental permits and reports.
  • Develop an Environmental Health & Safety training plan for employee compliance.
  • Drive employee engagement in MESH activities to achieve a zero-incident safety culture.
  • Initiate opportunities to improve environmental conditions in the community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 5 years of Environmental Health and Safety experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
