About the position
The EHS Specialist at Systems, LLC is responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations within the organization. This role involves monitoring adherence to safety rules, conducting audits, and providing support during incident investigations. The specialist will also coordinate emergency response drills and lead the Safety Committee, contributing to a safe and compliant workplace.
Responsibilities
- Monitor adherence to all safety rules and regulations established in the EHS System.
- Carry out scheduled audits to ensure legal compliance in matters of Environment, Health and Safety.
- Issue compliance reports to managers based on audit findings.
- Manage the contractor safety program, including safety induction and safe work permitting process.
- Monitor compliance of work teams with the planned inspections program and conduct periodic audits.
- Provide subject matter expert support during incident investigations and maintain incident records.
- Coordinate emergency response drills and training, and audit emergency response equipment availability.
- Lead the Safety Committee, including meeting schedules and employee engagement activities.
- Ensure visibility of warning signs and labels throughout the plant.
- Support and facilitate Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and risk level reduction planning.
- Design, deliver, and maintain training for EHS programs and standards.
- Comply with health and safety guidelines and ensure compliance across teams.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a related position.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
