About the position
Consor is seeking an Entry-Level Engineer in Training (EIT) for its Structural/Bridge group in Houston. This role is designed for recent graduates or those with limited experience in civil engineering, particularly in bridge design. The EIT will work as part of a team on various structural and bridge design projects, contributing to analysis, design, and documentation while also having opportunities for mentorship and professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Perform Structural / Bridge analysis and calculations
- Prepare Structural / Bridge engineering plans, specifications, estimates, and other supporting documents
- Conduct conceptual engineering studies
- Provide preliminary engineering and final design
- Mentor and develop less experienced staff
- Prepare reports
- Cost estimating
- Coordinate with agencies
- Observe construction and coordinate with contractors
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as necessary
Requirements
- 0-2 years of Civil Engineering work-related experience in Bridge Design
- Experience in Bridge Design
- Knowledge of Steel Girder Design
- Familiarity with BGS, PG super, RISA, Bridge Leap, MicroStation software
- EIT certification or ability to attain in a reasonable timeframe
