About the position
The position is responsible for hospital-wide cardiac monitoring activities and appropriate documentation. This role requires a thorough understanding of cardiac rhythms and the ability to maintain focus while monitoring multiple screens throughout the shift.
Responsibilities
- Monitor cardiac activity across the hospital
- Document monitoring activities accurately
- Interpret cardiac rhythms
- Provide customer service as needed
- Maintain focus while observing multiple screens
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- EMT-B or Paramedic certification strongly preferred
- Minimum six months experience with cardiac monitoring (preferred)
- Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms
- Basic math skills including multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction of decimals
- Skill in problem solving
- Proficiency in using computers
- Thorough knowledge of role expectations and scope of practice
- Ability to maintain focus/concentration while watching multiple screens for an entire shift
