About the position
The ELA Interventionist position at Orchard Valley Middle School is a part-time role focused on supporting students in English Language Arts (ELA). The effective date for this position is October 1, 2024. The interventionist will work collaboratively with teachers and staff to implement research-based interventions aimed at improving literacy skills among students, particularly those who are at risk of falling behind.
Requirements
- NJ Teacher Certification, Teacher of English and/or Elementary with Middle School 5-8 ELA Certificate
- Strong understanding of the NJ Student Learning Standards in ELA
- Possess knowledge of research-based interventions to support students with literacy deficiencies
- Ability to work in a collaborative setting
- Knowledge of and experience in providing targeted interventions and addressing the diverse needs of at-risk students
Nice-to-haves
- Ability to integrate technology into the curriculum
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written/oral communication skills
