About the position

The eLearning Instructional Designer will play a pivotal role in enhancing product education for high-tech medication management solutions. This position requires a bold, strategic, and creative thinker who can devise innovative approaches to eLearning solutions. As a Learning and Performance Consultant (SLPC), the designer will be responsible for planning, designing, creating, and maintaining eLearning modules, technical training videos, and instructor-led training courses. The role involves understanding performance needs and organizational constraints to develop effective learning solutions that yield measurable results and potentially increase revenue. The LPC will create comprehensive curriculum plans, eLearning content, and other training deliverables while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This position demands strong relationship management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with associates across the organization. The LPC will utilize actionable data and evaluation methods for continuous improvement, employing agile and iterative development methodologies. Knowledge of customer service organizations and the medical device/healthcare industry is preferred, as the LPC will work closely with subject matter experts to enhance the learning experience using adult learning principles. In addition to instructional design and eLearning development, the LPC will assess learning and performance needs, evaluate the effectiveness of performance solutions, and provide metrics and recommendations for improvement. The role also includes project management responsibilities, where the LPC will lead and report on project progress, ensuring accuracy in status reports and team metrics. The LPC will partner with business leaders, R&D, marketing, and global customer service to create technical performance solutions that drive positive outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver innovative eLearning solutions using various methods and authoring tools, particularly Articulate Storyline.
  • Coordinate and deliver learning sessions through self-paced eLearning modules, video sessions, blended learning, and performance support materials.
  • Assess learning and performance needs to create effective plans for performance solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of performance solutions and provide metrics and recommendations for improvement to stakeholders.
  • Lead, monitor, and report on project progress, ensuring accuracy in status reports and team metrics.
  • Manage complex learning-related initiatives as a business partner with internal and external customers.
  • Collaborate with business leaders, R&D, marketing, and global customer service to develop technical performance solutions that yield measurable results.
  • Employ user experience principles and responsive design in course development.
  • Utilize agile, iterative development methodologies to adapt to business strategy changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Adult Learning, Communication, or a related field required.
  • 2-4 years of experience in Instructional Design and Curriculum Management with a focus on eLearning and mobile learning strategy.
  • Advanced skills and experience with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, Adobe eLearning Suite, Captivate, and others.
  • Ability to independently develop complex learning solutions based on knowledge of learning methodologies and cognitive science.
  • Demonstrated successful project management experience and effective organizational skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and compellingly.
  • Ability to collect and analyze data for continuous improvement.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Performance Improvement, Educational Technology, Instructional Design, or related fields preferred.
  • Industry experience with customer support organizations and/or medical devices, HIT, product implementation, and support in a global environment preferred.
